
Dr. Chris Gargamelli
Dr. Christopher Gargamelli is a 2004 graduate of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, Indiana. He currently practices small animal emergency medicine at the Animal Emergency Hospital of Central Connecticut in Rocky Hill. Dr. Gargamelli is a member of the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) where he currently serves as secretary of the organization. Previously, he served as the Middlesex County representative to the CVMA board of directors. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Hartford County Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Gargamelli became involved with animal disaster preparedness in Region 2 in the fall of 2006. He serves as team leader of the Region 2 Animal Response Team and as chairman of Region 2 Emergency Support Function 11 (Animal Protection) for the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security's Preparedness Region 2, Regional Emergency Planning Team Steering Committee.
Dr. Gargamelli grew-up in Branford where he attended St. Mary School in Branford and the Hopkins School in New Haven. He currently lives in Durham with his wife and two beautiful daughters. They currently share their house with 2 dogs, 3 guinea pigs, a cat, a rabbit, a turtle and a fish.
